Unlike conventional silk production that harvests silk by boiling cocoons with the silkworm pupae still inside, Ahimsa silk allows the moths to emerge naturally before the cocoons are harvested.
Our Eri silk, known as the "peace silk," comes from the Samia ricini moth that feeds on castor leaves. Tussar silk is produced by Antheraea mylitta moths that feed on Arjun and Sal trees in the wild forests of central India.
